Univ. of Miss. Medical Center names Putt CEO of community hospitals

The University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, appointed David Putt CEO of community hospitals in Grenada and Lexington.

Beginning March 1, Putt, 62, will be CEO of UMMC Grenada, where he has been serving as the interim chief executive since September 2013. And starting April 1, he will also serve as CEO of Holmes County Hospital and Clinics in Lexington. Putt has been with UMMC for 19 years, though his age was not immediately available.

“David Putt knows what it takes to run a successful hospital,” UMMC Vice Chancellor Dr. James Keeton said in a news release. “He's the right person at the right time to lead these two hospitals that are so vital to their communities.”
