Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Colorado President Donna Lynne may be sporting a Seattle Seahawks jersey in a photo on her organization's intranet, but it's not because she's homesick for Seattle. Seems it has more to do with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and a little Super Bowl blowout the team suffered recently.
Outliers: Super Bowl loss has CEO paying up
The Seahawks' win meant Lynne, a former executive at New York-based Group Health, lost a “CEO challenge” with Scott Armstrong of Group Health. If the big game had turned out differently, Armstrong would have been wearing a Broncos jersey in a photo on Group Health's intranet. As a result of the Seahawks' 43-8 thrashing of the Broncos, Armstrong is also being sent a supply of Colorado-made craft beer, beef jerky, salsa and chips.
Kaiser Colorado staffers probably could have started packing the container seconds into the game when Seattle scored two points on a safety during the game's first play from scrimmage when the football was snapped over Manning's head and floated into the end zone.
