Missouri Health Connection, the state's health information network that connects more than 7,000 physicians, named Mark Pasquale its CEO.
Pasquale, who has nearly 30 years of information technology experience, most recently served as VP and CIO at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta.
“Mark brings a depth of knowledge that will drive MHC forward as a leader among state-designated health information networks and comes to MHC at a very exciting time,” Kim Day, chair of Missouri Health Connection's board of directors, said in a news release.
When Pasquale begins his new role March 10, he will replace Marc Andiel, who has been serving as interim CEO since November. Andiel will remain on the executive team as chief technical officer for Missouri Health Connection.
“Mark Pasquale is a welcomed addition to our team. His knowledge and experience will help MHC further expand throughout Missouri to provide physicians with a greater depth of patient information at the time of treatment to improve care quality,” Andiel said in the release.
Their ages were not immediately available.
