Kindred Healthcare, Louisville, Ky., named Stephen Farber executive VP and CFO.
Effective Feb. 3, Farber, 44, joins Kindred with more than two decades of healthcare experience. Though he has served as CFO for Tenet Healthcare Corp. and as founder and CEO of Connance, a predictive analytics company, Farber most recently led the financial restructuring of ambulance and fire service operator Rural Metro.
“Stephen's background in healthcare and financial sectors and his personal qualities make him an ideal CFO as we move the company forward for the benefit of our patients, customers, employees and shareholders,” Kindred CEO Paul Diaz said in a news release.
Farber takes over the role from Richard Lechleiter, who retired Jan. 15 after serving as Kindred's CFO for more than 11 years.
