Health information technology tools providing patient assessment and “individual predictive analytics” at the point of care will be available at more than 400 of the approximately 750 retail clinics operating inside Walgreen Co. stores, the Deerfield, Ill.-based retail pharmacy chain announced.
Walgreen will be using systems developed by Bowie, Md.-based Inovalon, a technology company that recently made news with a study analyzing the link between Medicare Advantage plan performance and the socio-economic status, demographics and severity of illness of subscribers.
