GE Healthcare, Waukesha, Wis., is acquiring Hartford, Wis.-based API Healthcare, a workforce-management and data-analytics firm, GE Healthcare announced. Terms were not disclosed. The purchase is expected to close in the first quarter of this year.
API Healthcare's asset optimization software, including products for staffing, scheduling, patient classification, human resources, talent management, payroll, time and attendance and business analytics, will help GE clients “address a significant portion of hospital operations costs—assets, patients and labor—with a mix of software, real-time data, powerful analytics and professional services,” said Michael Swinford, president and CEO of GE Healthcare Services, in a news release.
