New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center named Dr. Cam Patterson senior VP and COO.
The appointment, in which Patterson will oversee the medical center's strategy and management, is effective immediately. Patterson has held multiple management and executive role at the University of North Carolina, which he joined in 2000, said a news release announcing his appointment.
His age was unavailable at deadline.
"Dr. Patterson brings significant experience running outstanding multidisciplinary clinical and research programs," Dr. Steven Corwin, CEO of New York-Presbyterian Hospital said in the release. "His tremendous success as a clinician, researcher and administrator, coupled with his commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery and patient-centered service, will ensure that New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center will continue to deliver the highest quality, most compassionate care to our patients and families."
