Healthcare Data Solutions this week announced its acquisition of StratCenter.
Healthcare Data Solutions, established in 2006, builds and maintains databases with compliance-grade data on physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, other healthcare providers, pharmacies and hospitals. The Irvine, Calif.-based company also provides its clients with physician validation programs, data processing, compliance services, Web services and new customer acquisition programs.
“Our initial mission was to build a deep and detailed healthcare provider database, as well as all critical provider relationships in their networks and affiliations,” Tim Slevin, president and CEO of Healthcare Data Solutions, said in a release. “As our business has evolved, it made sense to connect our providers to a similarly robust healthcare organization network, and StratCenter is the perfect partner to achieve this objective.”
StratCenter, headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pa., gives its clients access to healthcare organizational data on hospitals, integrated delivery networks, group purchasing organizations and care providers, as well as the latest industry news. The company was founded in 2002 and serves more than 10,000 licensed users.
“Our clients will be able to see and connect providers, payers, hospitals, IDNs and much more,” Slevin said. "This acquisition of StratCenter and their incredibly powerful data and tools is exactly what we need to help HDS and StratCenter clients achieve a competitive advantage in the new healthcare ecosystem.”
According to Sarah Swidron, Healthcare Data Solutions' director of marketing, the company does not anticipate any interruption in service as it absorbs StratCenter's employees and client base. Patrick Plummer, founder and CEO of StratCenter, now serves as COO of the newly-integrated company.
