Modern Healthcare has extended the deadline to submit nominations for the Health Care Hall of Fame. The new deadline is Jan. 9.
Ninety-five healthcare industry luminaries have joined the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1988. The program is a partnership with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
A panel of distinguished healthcare judges will select the winners, who will be profiled in the March 24 issue.
Criteria for nominations include: The candidate has not worked full time in the healthcare industry or a profession allied to the industry for at least two years; has successfully led one or more organizations in the industry (provider, supplier, academia, association, etc.); made a lasting contribution to the industry; demonstrated a willingness to share his or her expertise with others; and served as a role model or mentor.
The complete list of criteria and an online nominating form can be found at modernhealthcare.com/halloffame.
