The alliance, which includes the Cambridge Public Health Department, formed a clinical and academic affiliation in early 2013 with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
Sayah has held several leadership roles with the Cambridge Health Alliance since he joined the system in 2006, including chief of emergency medicine, medical staff president, chairman of the system's chiefs' council and his current position as senior vice president of primary and emergency care.
“Assaad will act as a strong voice for patients and providers at the executive level, which will be critical as we advance performance improvement initiatives that will increase our revenues, lower costs, and enhance our operations,” alliance CEO Patrick Wardell said in the release.
