Dr. Margo Hilliard Alford, an executive with Harris Health System, is retiring after 25 years with the Houston-based organization.
Hilliard Alford, a pediatrician, first joined Harris Health System in 1988 as administrator of Jefferson Davis Hospital. She then spent 17 years as the first administrator of the healthcare system's Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Most recently though, Hilliard Alford, 69, served as senior VP of Harris Health System's Community Health and Wellness, while also continuing an appointment as assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, or UTHealth.
