So docs are embracing payment for care-coordination services they provide outside of their offices?
Wait a minute. MDs are not performing these care-coordinator roles, RNs are. The billing will not be for work done by the MD, but will instead be work done by the RN and billed incident to the doctor.
What MD wouldn't welcome being paid for care coordination and case-management services provided with the expertise of another profession?
