Valence Health, which provides clinical integration, population health and value-based care services, appointed two new executives to its team.
Both Dr. Nathan Gunn and Dan Blake joined the Chicago-based company Nov. 18. Gunn, 39, is president of population health, and Blake, 49, is senior VP of software product development.
Gunn
“The depth and breadth of experience that Nathan and Dan bring to Valence Health portends great opportunities for our clients,” Valence Health CEO Phil Kamp said in a news release (PDF). “Both have proven track records of creating technologies that help change healthcare for the better in both administrative and clinical settings. We're very excited to have them in leadership positions.”
In his new role as president of population health, Gunn is responsible for a business unit that aggregates, standardizes and analyzes clinical and administrative data to help clients better manage risk and improve quality of care. Before coming to Valence, Gunn most recently served as COO of healthcare analytics and risk management company Verisk Health.
Blake joined Valence from Airstrip Technologies, where he served as a senior technical executive for the mobile health company. At Valence, Blake's responsibilities include overseeing a group of engineers and architects, as well as the next generation of the company's platform for integrating information across a clinical network.
