The Gulf Coast division of hospital chain HCA named Matt Dixon CEO of its Pearland Medical Center, which is scheduled to open next year.
Dixon, whose age was not immediately available, comes to HCA's Gulf Coast division from the chain's MountainStar division, where he has served as COO of Salt Lake City-based St. Mark's Hospital since 2006.
“Matt's strong background in operational leadership makes him particularly well suited for this role,” Maura Walsh, president of HCA's Gulf Coast division, said in a release. “We look forward to him developing a high-quality, clinically excellent medical staff and building a team of talented and committed leaders.”
Pearland Medical Center will be the 10th HCA-affiliated hospital in the Houston area when it opens in the fall of 2014.
