Healthcare workforce and staffing firm AMN Healthcare Services acquired ShiftWise, a company that develops Web-based technology for managing healthcare workforce and vendors.
ShiftWise's applications help manage internal float-pool resources, contingent staffing vendors, time and attendance, credentialing and staffing resources through one proprietary system.
Under a deal that closed Nov. 20 with the San Diego-based staffing company, ShiftWise will maintain its Portland, Ore., headquarters and continue to operate under its current brand and leadership. ShiftWise also will continue to support and sell its systems directly to vendors, providers of managed service programs, hospitals and healthcare systems. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“We believe the addition of ShiftWise's robust suite of vendor management software will complement AMN's current workforce solutions offerings,” Susan Salka, AMN Healthcare Services' president, CEO and director, said in a release. “This strategic acquisition is an investment in addressing the diverse needs of our clients by providing a unique vendor neutral technology option as well as other workforce technology solutions that will instantly expand our capabilities.”
