Jack Towsley has joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas as divisional senior VP for the company's healthcare delivery segment.
Since February 2012, Towsley had been senior VP, payer relations, for Naples, Fla.-based hospital chain HMA. He previously spent 10 years in various roles for Nashville-based HCA.
At the Texas Blues, Towsley will lead the insurer's network strategy, including contract negotiation for new value-based care models. The company recently entered an arrangement with Tenet Healthcare Corp. to launch a statewide accountable care organization.
