Newport (R.I.) Hospital added two members to its clinical leadership team with the appointments of Dr. Tom McGue to VP for medical affairs and chief medical officer and Denise Sullivan to VP of nursing services and chief nursing officer.
As a family practice physician and naval officer, McGue, 59, has held roles including serving as commanding officer of the Naval Health Clinic Great Lakes in Illinois and deputy director and instructor of the Command Leadership School in Newport.
Sullivan
Sullivan, 57, also an associate professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Rhode Island, joined the Newport Hospital staff in 1989. Most recently, Sullivan was administrative director of nursing clinical services, though she has also served as interim VP of nursing and patient-care services for Newport Hospital, which is part of the Lifespan system.
