An 8% increase in quarterly revenue would please many companies. But it was a slight disappointment for officials of Cerner Corp. The North Kansas City, Mo.-based health information technology company reported third-quarter revenue of $727.8 million. Although up from the figure for the comparable period last year, it fell below projections of $740 million to $770 million.
