Regarding the recent commentary “Law of the land” (Oct. 7, p. 28), yes, the “Affordable” Care Act is law, but we all know that just because it is the “law of the land” does not mean that it is right or just. Not too long ago we had laws that enslaved a group of our citizens and kept women from being able to vote. Many citizens today don't agree with the law that forces us to participate in a program that we feel will eventually lead to the financial downfall of this country and we feel it is our moral duty and obligation to speak out and even take action to block the enactment of it. So I applaud the actions of anyone who has the strength of their convictions and takes a stand against it.
