HHS predicted that nearly 500,000 Americans would sign up for health coverage through the federally run and state-run exchanges by the end of October, and that more than 7 million people would sign up by the end of open enrollment on March 31, 2014, according to internal memos obtained by the Associated Press.
HHS has not yet reported enrollment figures for the federally run marketplace. But state-run exchanges have reported that nearly 25,000 people had enrolled in a plan as of last week, and more than 134,000 people had applied for coverage. (Click the chart to enlarge it.)
