Dickson named senior VP at AmeriHealth Caritas

Fred Dickson was named senior VP, information solutions, at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Cos., a Philadelphia-based Medicaid managed-care company. .

Dickson comes to AmeriHealth Caritas from another big player in Medicaid managed care, Bethesda, Md.-based Coventry Health Care, where he was VP of information technology.

“A top-notch IT infrastructure is vital for any company today, but particularly for one like us that is looking to expand its mission,” said Anne Morrissey, executive VP and COO at AmeriHealth Caritas, in which Independence Blue Cross is the majority owner and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan holds a minority stake.

AmeriHealth Caritas does business in 15 states and the District of Columbia.
