Workplace clinic operator QuadMed announced on Oct. 9 that it will acquire Novia CareClinics within the next 30 days.
Both companies provide employer-sponsored healthcare management and on-site primary care. Combined, they serve more than 150,000 patients in 90 clinics across 18 states.
Under the agreement, QuadMed will absorb all of Novia CareClinics' operations and merge the companies' executive management and operations teams. Tim Dickman will continue to serve as president of QuadMed, while Novia CareClinics President Eric Olson will become a member of QuadMed's executive management team. The company will maintain administrative operations in both Sussex, Wis., where QuadMed has its headquarters, and Indianapolis, where Novia CareClinics is based.
