Dave Gravender was named CIO at Alameda Health System, the Oakland, Calif.-area safety net provider operated by Alameda County.
Gravender comes to Alameda Health System from another public system, Kaweah Delta Healthcare District in Visalia, Calif., where he had been VP and CIO since 1998.
Alameda CEO Wright Lassiter called Gravender “a seasoned healthcare IT executive” with the expertise to handle the implementation of a systemwide electronic health-record system and other challenges.
