How it grew to become one of healthcare's hottest:“We've been in an incredibly dynamic industry—healthcare information technology,” says Rick Poulton, the company's chief financial officer, explaining a portion of Allscripts' strong growth over the past several years. Since 2007, the company has posted compound annual revenue growth of about 39%. “You have an industry that represents close to 20% of GDP in this country and shockingly little technology around it for a long period of time. We're playing catch-up to bring digitization to what has largely been manual.”
