Voalte names West COO

Kenda West, a former health IT executive at Johns Hopkins Medicine, joined clinical communications company Voalte as COO.

West was CIO for the Baltimore system's community division and before that worked for MedStar Health in Washington, according to a Voalte news release.

Voalte, based in Sarasota, Fla., develops smartphone applications that allow caregivers to receive alarms and text and voice messages.
