Karen Drenkard will join GetWellNetwork on Jan. 1 as chief clinical/nursing officer, a new position at the patient-engagement technology company.
Drenkard currently is executive director of the American Nurses Credentialing Center. At GetWellNetwork, based in Bethesda, Md., she will “lead the development of a nursing model around patient engagement,” the company said in a news release.
“GetWellNetwork is at the forefront of patient engagement, and their approach to integrating patient-centered technology into nursing practice is enabling a powerful transformation in care delivery,” Drenkard said in the release.
Drenkard assumed leadership of the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2011 and has been with the organization since 2008.
