PracticeMax, Scottsdale, Ariz., acquired Medi-Data Service, a Naperville, Ill.-based medical management firm.
Financial terms weren't disclosed. The deal expands the Midwest presence of PracticeMax, which develops software and offers billing and consulting services. Medi-Data, located in Chicago's suburbs, is more than 30 years old and has provided billing and practice management services to physician groups, individual physicians and hospital-owned practices.
“Our customers will now have access to a greater breadth of services and technology than previously available, allowing the practices we serve to keep up with the demands of this rapidly evolving healthcare environment,” Medi-Data President Andy Kokosa said in a news release.
PracticeMax serves more than 5,100 providers in 34 states and has offices in San Antonio; Shreveport, La.; Chicago and Phoenix.
