The Aug. 26 article, “The case of the disappearing subsidies” (p. 12), should have noted that if the second-cheapest silver-tier health plan that serves as the benchmark plan for setting the federal subsidy fills up and is no longer available to exchange plan subscribers, the state insurance exchange will recalculate the subsidy based on the premium for the next-lowest-cost silver-tier plan that remains open to new enrollees.
