Online healthcare shopping tool PokitDok names new VPs

PokitDok, which allows providers to establish a digital storefront where consumers can research, shop and pay for healthcare, has added two executives—Jason Thibeault and Ryan Tarzy—to its team.

“With the recent closing of our Series A financing, we knew that we needed top-level marketing and business development talent to take PokitDok to the next level,” PokitDok CEO Lisa Maki said in a news release.“Both Jason and Ryan bring significant business experience to help PokitDok acquire providers, establish partners, and generate revenue.”

Thibeault will serve as senior VP of marketing, effective Aug. 5, and Tarzy will serve as senior VP of business development, effective Aug. 1. Thibeault, 41, comes to the San Mateo, Calif., company from digital presence managers Limelight Networks, where he was senior director of marketing strategy. Tarzy, 35 was most recently managing partner of Health2X, the virtual accelerator for Health 2.0 and health technology companies.

“Both of these individuals are a huge compliment to our executive team,” Maki said in the release. “Their fresh perspectives and specific expertise will enable PokitDok to best leverage its recent financing to expand and grow the company as (co-founder and chief technology officer) Ted (Tanner Jr.) and I have envisioned from the beginning.”
