HIT Application Solutions names Bomentre CMIO

Exton, Pa., healthcare communication technology company HIT Application Solutions has hired Dr. Betty Jo Bomentre as chief medical information officer.

Effective July 15, Bomentre joins HIT Application Solutions from her role as the executive and physician clinical consultant at Vitalize Consulting Solutions in Kennett Square, Pa. While at Vitalize, Bomentre, whose age was not immediately available, served as a project manager and interim CMIO for North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, Great Neck, N.Y.; MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland; and John C. Lincoln Health Network, Phoenix. Her healthcare industry expertise is focused in analysis, design, implementation, informatics and adoption of healthcare information systems.
