Vitera acquires SuccessEHS

Vitera Healthcare Solutions, Tampa, Fla., has expanded both its services and its customer base with the acquisition of Birmingham, Ala.-based SuccessEHS, completed on July 25.

Though terms of the deal were not released, SuccessEHS will operate as a division of Vitera, allowing the combined companies to serve more than 10,500 medical organizations and 415,000 medical professionals in the U.S. The addition extends Vitera's reach across community health centers, including rural health centers, student health centers and HIV/AIDS clinics.

“This transaction affirms our commitment to bringing lasting, long-term value to our customers,” Vitera CEO Matthew Hawkins said in a news release. “We'll continue to actively support the success of ambulatory practices and public health centers by adding knowledge and solutions that help physicians further drive down costs, maximize revenue and improve the health of their patients.”

Vitera, rebranded in 2011 after Vista Equity Partners purchased Sage North America's healthcare division, provides ambulatory electronic health records, practice management, revenue-cycle management and business analytics to physicians and their practices. SuccessEHS also serves physicians and community health centers with electronic health and dental records, dental imaging, practice management and revenue-cycle management. The privately held company was established in 1995.
