Healthcare information technology company Socrates Analytics has hired Jim Evans as its first CEO.
Evans, whose age was not immediately available, is a former executive at McKesson Health Solutions, and most recently McKesson's VP of network and financial management in Malvern, Pa. He brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare data management, strategy, reimbursement and corporate development to the Cleveland company.
“We're very excited to have Jim on the team,” Socrates Analytics founder Dr. Conor Delaney said in a release. “Jim brings precisely the depth of experience and extensive relationships we need to scale this business.”
The software of Socrates Analytics helps hospitals and physicians collect and analyze hospital billing, administrative and operating room data. The company was launched in October of last year, thanks to funding from Cleveland-based University Hospitals Case Medical Center, where Delaney is also chief of the division of colorectal surgery.
“University Hospitals is pleased with the valuable data analytics that Socrates Analytics has consistently provided the hospital,” Brad Bond, VP of treasury at University Hospitals, said in the release. “Under Jim's leadership, we look forward to continued growth and success of the company.”
