Schenectady, N.Y.-based not-for-profit health insurer MVP Health Care has named James Poole III its VP and CIO.
Before first joining MVP Health Care in July 2012, and then taking on the role of interim CIO in December of last year, Poole had served as VP of operations in Woodbridge, Conn., for information technology company The Cimino Group. With his newest title, Poole, whose age was not immediately available, will use his experience in healthcare and insurance IT to manage MVP Health Care's IT infrastructure, systems, applications, security and data/telecommunications.
