Dr. Jacob Reider, chief medical officer at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at HHS, will host a webinar Wednesday on the ONC's recently released health IT patient-safety plan.
Registration is required for the webinar, scheduled for an hour and 45 minutes starting at 3:45 p.m. ET.
The 50-page document, formally the Health Information Technology Patient Safety Action and Surveillance Plan, was released July 2 and places responsibilities on multiple organizations in the public and private sectors to gather data on health IT-related patient safety incidents and develop methods to address remediation.
Reider will act as coordinator over the implementation of the plan as the head of the ONC's Health IT Patient Safety Program.
