Regarding “Myriad stock falls as competitors offer lower prices for gene testing”:
The decision was a solid and sound decision, correctly stating that Myriad did not invent anything. They discovered the genes. I am a free-enterprise capitalist and believer. However, this was a smudge on the patent process and not too far off from some Internet enterprises that want to sell stock just for their presence and discovery of what people like. They produce nothing and try to fly public on revenue that does not come close to justifying valuations. The ones that survive find a way to produce better search engines or unique technology that produces revenue and can validate valuations.
