Healthcare billing and collection software company PaySpan, Atlanta, has acquired mPay Gateway, a Minneapolis-based provider of software used to collect money owed from patients during a hospital or clinic visit.
Terms of PaySpan's deal for mPay Gateway were not disclosed in a news release announcing that transaction. The acquisition will allow PaySpan to market products for collecting patients' out-of-pocket costs at the time of service and automatically collecting the bills that follow.
