Healthcare Financial Management Association President and CEO Joe Fifer looks back at the organization's 2013 National Institute in Orlando, Fla. In an interview with Modern Healthcare reporter Beth Kutscher, Fifer says the buzz at the conference has been the barrage of change headed toward the industry with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's health insurance exchanges and the drive toward value. Fifer says members were also talking about the pressure on providers to add clarity and consistency to prices and and billing practices, and the association's efforts to address those issues.
