Janine Powell has been named vice president of client services for QPID, a data analytics service provider developed within Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners HealthCare in Boston, the company has announced.
Powell has previously worked in client services for Encore Health Resources, Medsphere Systems Corp., Skylight Healthcare Systems, Bridge Medical and McKesson Corp., according to a news release about her appointment.
“Janine brings a rare combination of creative technical problem solving, assertive business sense and thoughtful customer care initiatives, in addition to the right healthcare information technology wherewithal,” said QPID's CEO Michael Doyle in a news release.
QPID, a startup launched in February with venture capital from Matrix Partners, Cardinal Partners, Partners Innovation Fund and Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, uses natural language processing to enable clinicians to query, analyze and draw reports from clinical data in real time, according to the company.
