Cheetah Medical, headquartered in Vancouver, Wash., has named two new executives to its leadership team—Chris Hutchison as president and CEO and William Denman as chief medical officer.
The news of their hiring comes along with the completion of a $14.5 million financing deal that will help accelerate the commercialization of its NICOM system used for noninvasive, goal-directed fluid management in clinical settings.
Hutchison joins Cheetah from healthcare products producer Covidien in Mansfield, Mass., where he was general manager in the company’s respiratory and monitoring systems and vascular therapies divisions. He has more than 25 years experience in the medical-device industry, including commercializing early stage technologies.
Denman also worked at Covidien, where he served as chief medical officer. Most recently though, the anesthesiologist provided consulting in the clinical space through his own firm, Denman Associates.
Their ages were not immediately available.
