Outliers must confess we don't watch a lot of reality TV, but the genre's recent physician trend has caught our attention.
This spring brought Bravo's “Married to Medicine”—a sort of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” meets “Dr. 90210.” And now Outliers has spied a casting call for concierge physicians on RealityWanted, a site that connects casting directors and producers with people seeking their 15 minutes of fame.
An unnamed production company is seeking licensed doctors who are at the beck and call of their clientele. “Do you offer your patients a monthly or annual fee for enhanced services?” the ad asks. “Do you have a dynamic front office and clinical support staff?? If so we want to hear from you!!!” The producers say they're readying a “groundbreaking new docu series.”
