Sister Judith Ann Karam, the president and CEO at Sisters of Charity Health System, has announced her resignation, according to a news release. She has served as president and CEO since 1998.
Karam will officially leave her post with the Cleveland-based four-hospital system on July 26. Terrence Kessler will take over on an interim basis until officials find a permanent replacement. Kessler will start July 28. He serves as general counsel for the system after filling several other leadership roles, including board member. Their ages weren't provided. The system includes three hospitals in Ohio and one in South Carolina.
