Imprivata, a Lexington, Mass.-based provider of healthcare information technology security, has appointed Dr. John Halamka to its board of directors.
A professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, a practicing emergency physician, and CIO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Halamka joins the Imprivata board with more than three decades of relevant experience. He also serves as co-chair of both the national HIT Standards Committee and the Massachusetts HIT/HIE Advisory Committee. His age was not available.
