Streamline Health Solutions names Meeks CFO

Atlanta-based Streamline Health Solutions, which provides SaaS-based healthcare information technology services for hospitals and physician groups, has promoted its VP of financial planning, Nicholas Meeks, to senior VP and CFO, effective May 22.

Before joining Streamline Health in 2012, Meeks was director of financial planning and analysis at Chamberlin Edmonds & Associates, also in Atlanta. In his new role at Streamline Health, he will replace current CFO Steve Murdock, who is leaving his post after two years in order to devote more time to his family.

“Without Steve's diligent work over the last two years we would not be where we are today,” Streamline Health president and CEO Robert Watson said in a news release. “I know Nick Meeks will move seamlessly into the role of CFO … he possesses a keen mind and sharp eye for the operationally focused financial side of this enterprise.”

In addition to promoting Meeks, Streamline Health has also created a new position of VP and chief accounting officer, which Carolyn Zelnio will be assuming. Zelnio has served as CFO for multiple private-equity backed firms, including financial management software company Aderant and SaaS web security company Purewire, both headquartered in Atlanta.

“I believe the tandem of Nick and Carolyn—a sound accounting professional—will provide the breadth and depth of financial and accounting leadership our company needs as we continue to grow, and look forward to working with them both,” Watson said in the release.

Ages of Meeks, Zelnio and Murdock were not immediately made available.
