Humana has named Dr. Roy Beveridge senior VP and chief medical officer, beginning June 17.
Beveridge is currently chief medical officer at McKesson Specialty Health. Prior to McKesson Corp.'s acquisition of US Oncology in 2010, he served as that company's executive VP and medical director.
Humana President Bruce Broussard is a former CEO of McKesson Specialty Health.
Beveridge replaces Dr. Jonathan Lord, who left Humana in 2009 to take the position of CEO at Navigenics.
