The purchase was funded with cash and borrowing under a Roper credit line, the company said in a news release.
Managed Health Care Associates provides pharmacy solutions and pharmaceutical data analytics for clients in long-term care and other “alternative site healthcare providers.”
In its March announcement, Roper said it planned to expand its medical and scientific imaging business. Last August, it purchased healthcare laboratory software systems developer Sunquest of Tucson, Ariz., in another billion-dollar deal, that time for $1.4 billion.
