Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System named Daniel Hoodin VP of managed-care strategy and development, effective April 15.
Hoodin, who most recently served as VP of contract and provider services for the Georgia and Alabama markets for Cigna HealthCare in Atlanta, was appointed to a newly created position at Hospital Sisters.
At Cigna, he was also was VP of contracting, for the Carolina markets. From 2000-09, Hoodin served various positions at Southern Regional Medical Center, Riverdale, Ga., including CEO of Southern Crescent Physicians Group.
Hoodin, 55, started his career in 1985 at Providence Hospital in Cincinnati as an administrative resident.
