Coral Gables Executive Physicians names Thomas CEO

Coral Gables Executive Physicians, an internal medicine practice in Coral Gables, Fla., has promoted Eris Thomas from president to CEO, effective March 1.

CGEP is known for offering same-day appointments and 24/7 telephone access, along with annual preventative check-ups, treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, and diagnostic testing for customized care. As CEO, Thomas, 39, is responsible for the practice's strategy, operations and services, including preparation of the budget, supervision of human resources, and oversight of marketing/PR and community relations.

“I'm extremely pleased to be a part of personalized medical care, which continues to be a growing facet of the medical field,” Thomas said in a release.

Before opening CGEP with her husband in March 2007, Thomas worked in the Miami office of professional services firm Deloitte & Touche from 2001 to 2007.

“With her in-depth knowledge of personalized medical care, extensive business experience and exceptional education, Eris is an asset to CGEP's growth and success,” Dr. Robert Thomas, director of CGEP, said in the release.
