Elwell named Qualidigm CEO

Healthcare consulting company Qualidigm has appointed Timothy Elwell to CEO, effective immediately.

Elwell replaces former CEO Marcia Petrillo, who announced her retirement last June after 37 years with the Rocky Hill, Conn.-based company. Elwell comes to Qualidigm from his role as VP at Misys Open Source Solutions, White Plains, N.Y. In that role, Elwell provided governance and consulting services and led the development of a standards-based, open-source health information exchange. His age was not immediately available.

“We are confident that Tim is a consummate strategic thinker who has the leadership skills, entrepreneurial spirit and customer service dedication our diverse stakeholders require to lead the company successfully through the nation's changing healthcare landscape,” Kathy Mon, chair of Qualidigm's board of directors, said in a release.
