Bryan joins Medhost as VP of consulting

Plano, Texas-based Medhost, which provides healthcare throughput and emergency department software, has named Barbara Bryan its VP of consulting.

Bryan, 41, joined Medhost on March 4 with two decades of experience in healthcare delivery, consulting, management, sales and marketing. She came to the healthcare IT company from her own consulting firm, Bryan Advisory Group, which she founded in 2009 to provide performance improvement and waste management solutions to healthcare and other organizations.

Bryan's immediate focus at Medhost will be integrating consulting services into the sales and delivery of its new enterprise-wide patient throughput solution known as PatientFlow HD. She'll also work with leadership from HealthTech Holdings, the health IT company that manages Medhost, to determine other consulting opportunities.

“With Barbara's guidance and expertise, we can more effectively fuse our superior technologies with the skill set and knowledge base of our technical and consulting teams to give healthcare providers patient flow and operational strategies that can generate financial, patient care and workflow improvements,” Craig Herrod, president of Medhost, said in a release.
