David Joyner has been named COO of Hill Physicians Medical Group, an independent physician association based in San Ramon, Calif.
Joyner, 50, fills the position that has been vacant since April of last year when Darryl Cardoza moved into the CEO role. Joyner is scheduled to start on April 15.
“We are excited that David is joining us,” Cardoza said in a release. “He is well known to us and is a seasoned leader in California healthcare who brings valued experience in a very dynamic time in our industry.”
Joyner previously spent 14 years with Blue Shield of California, most recently as senior VP.
